About the project

What V.O.I.C.E. is building

V.O.I.C.E. — Voting Opinions of Independent Citizens Everywhere — is a research-first civic information and public-opinion platform. Its purpose is to help people participate in civic research and explore public opinion through transparent questions, documented methods, and accessible findings.

The first planned research pilot focuses on national adult priorities concerning local public services and infrastructure — the services people encounter every day, and the priorities they assign to them.

Why it matters

Public opinion deserves better evidence

Too much of what passes for public opinion is an unlabeled poll, a loaded question, or a finding without methods. V.O.I.C.E. is being built to make the evidence behind civic claims inspectable by anyone.

Roadmap

Built in deliberate phases

The public interface comes first — it establishes how V.O.I.C.E. communicates evidence. The research management system comes next — it establishes how that evidence is produced.

Privacy

Privacy is a design requirement, not a feature

  • No raw Social Security numbers are ever stored.
  • Any future identity verification is designed separately from research responses — and reviewed with a research/privacy specialist first.
  • Open polls and statistically designed research are labeled as what they are; representativeness is never claimed without the sampling design to support it.
  • Methods, limitations, sponsorship, and corrections are published alongside every finding.
