Reporting

A finding reported without its uncertainty is a slogan, not a statistic. These are the rules for how V.O.I.C.E. publishes.

Every estimate ships with its uncertainty attached. Margins of error, confidence intervals, or their equivalents appear alongside the numbers they qualify — never separated, never optional. And every study record carries a Limitations section that states in plain language what the data cannot tell you. You can see the format today in the Research Library’s demonstration records.

Nothing gets selectively buried. Every pre-registered study will be reported — including the ones with inconvenient, boring, or null results. A research platform that only publishes exciting findings is a marketing operation. Pre-registration (publishing the plan before fieldwork) is the mechanism that makes this checkable, and it’s committed below as proposed until the study pipeline exists to use it.

Mistakes get equal visibility. When something is wrong, the correction is published in the public corrections log with the same prominence as the original finding. The log exists now, before it’s needed — currently empty, which is exactly what you’d expect from a platform that hasn’t published real findings yet.

Controls in this area

Each safeguard below carries an honest status: proposed means committed but not yet built, implemented means live today, and verified means checked by an independent party.

  • Estimates published with their uncertainty

    Implemented

Every estimate ships with its margin of error or equivalent uncertainty — and a plain-language statement of what the data cannot say.

Where to check it: The study record format: methodology and limitations are required sections.

  • Corrections published with equal visibility

    Implemented

When something is wrong, the correction goes in the public log with the same prominence as the original finding — not buried.

Where to check it: The Corrections page in this Transparency Center (currently an empty log).

  • No selective reporting

    Proposed

Every pre-registered study will be reported — including ones with inconvenient, boring, or null results.
